Hi,
I'm Monika
and this is my journey to becoming a therapist.
I was born in Slovakia, in a society shaped by generational trauma and rapid social change. From an early age, I sensed how deeply our past – personal and collective – shapes the way we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. I knew I wanted to understand that influence – and eventually help transform it.
At 20, I moved to Paris to study psychology, completing a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Work Psychology. I also studied across European contexts in an international program in Work Psychology and Human Resources, deepening my understanding of human behaviour in both personal and professional systems.
My professional path first led me into the corporate world, working in Human Resources across Europe. There, I saw how burnout, loss of meaning, and unresolved emotional patterns often hide beneath competence and achievement. Over time, I realised that sustainable change requires deeper inner work – not just external success.
Alongside my professional career, I explored yoga, meditation, and personal growth, eventually training and teaching yoga for several years. Travels to India and Peru were part of a personal journey of self-discovery and healing, expanding my understanding of the body-mind connection and the importance of nervous system regulation.
Today, I work with both individuals and groups, and gained early clinical experience in psychiatric pediatrics during my studies. My work integrates psychology, trauma-informed therapy, somatic awareness, inner parts work, and reflective tools for life direction to support emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and meaningful change. I am committed to ongoing professional learning to ensure my practice remains ethical, evidence-informed, and deeply human.
I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken – it’s about gently meeting the parts of you that learned to survive and helping them feel safe enough to grow. It is an honor to accompany people on that journey.
